What we've done is we've made sure that this resource was available for you as an individual leader, but for you also, as Leaders of employee Affinity groups, so if you lead a women's group at work of people of color group at work, non-binary Group, whatever it is.

This one is for you. For you to share with your entire organization. The PDF can be shared with the entire organization for And the reason why we're doing this for free, as we know that this time has been very chaotic, not just a stress at work, but the stress of people trying to figure out how to home-school, how to live in a multi-generational household and not leave the home, you know, everybody stuck inside all day. So that's why we did this for free to give you the tools and tips to techniques. So that even in this period of Crisis, chaos and uncertainty you can still experience winning season.

So again get your Free pdf download at [company]. C 0. Today I want to talk to you about boundaries, such a touchy topic. Something that a lot of us don't feel comfortable as women leaders using the boundaries because we want people to like us we are infected with what I call the disease to please. We just want to be nice.

Well, here's the deal during crisis and Chaos. It is so important as a leader that you establish proper boundaries one so that you can recharge but to so that you can have enough. Time to think clearly because you have a limited amount of time to make very quick decisions during this challenging time. So, let me give you an example of a boundary starting a start time for work and an end time for work and doing nothing outside of those hours. m.

m. m. m. M by starting to implement these boundaries, you give yourself a chance to recharge so that you can lead effectively as we continue to move into our new normal of working, fully work from home. It is important to recognize that you have to recharge.

So let's think about what our cell phone batteries, Get Low, we get the twenty percent warning or the 10% morning if we let it get that low. We immediately start looking for a charge. We're Got to let our smart devices, go dead and let them stay there for hours. But what I find that leaders are doing right now is that we're trying to be. So turned on to support our teams that were not taking the proper time to recharge.

So I encourage you as we move into the weekend, to take some time to be intentional about recharging and to use this weekend to think of ways that you can recharge throughout the week. It is totally okay for you to take some time. For yourself for self-care so that you can show up so that you can communicate to your team and you can steer them in the right direction as we all navigate our new normal and this crisis motivation. Yes, we've been in survival mode. We've been thrust into responding to this Global emergency that has impacted our lives in so many areas and now that we are in it and we are moving through it.

As a leader, go back to some of the basics. Understanding, what, motivates your team because right now, no one is working in a normal environment. So find new ways to inspire to motivate. But remember to be inclusive because people have different needs during this time. They're going through different things in their home lives.

So I heard it and inspiring story from a leader who did a team check-in and at the beginning, I of the video conference acts. Hey, how is everyone doing? And a member of the team said that she couldn't find any toilet paper. And so they found a way to get this team member. Some toilet paper, y'all, it's so simple.

You may think what? But it's little things like that. Getting someone toilet paper when they can't find it and can't order it getting that delivered. To them means more than any bonus arrays during this environment so far. New ways to motivate your people.

In the only way you're going to do that is by having conversations talking to them and finding out what's going on and coming from that, truly genuine Place. Let's face it. We all know when someone says, hey, how's it going? But they don't really want a response. They're just doing it as a formality now more than ever pausing at the beginning of a meeting to say, how's it going?

And truly listening that's going to take you a lot further. That's going to help your Ization. Get through this time was just a little bit more. Ease. Today's tip is about screen time.

No, not the screen time for kids. The screen time for adults. You know, how much time we're spending on these things. Well, over the past week. I received my screen report and I realized, and I quite frankly was ashamed at how my screen time went unchecked and how for the past six weeks.

My screen time has been drastically increasing. Between conference calls and video conference calls. My phone has been a main staple now that I'm working from home and the lines between work and home have been completely thrown out the window. So what I have begun to do to reinforce having a decreased screen time and to be in my new rhythm of working from home, I decided that all meals breakfast, lunch dinner and snacks in between is going to be my cue. You to put down the phone to push away from the laptop and to actually get some time away from the screen.

In addition to that. I have went back to some of my best practices of eliminating notifications for my devices. That way, I am not triggered to pick it up. Every time I see an alert or a ding because you know, you go down a rabbit hole. Once you start responding to the alert.

So all of the alerts are off my phone again, as a best. Practice to The screen time so that I can stay in the rhythm of working at a highly productive level and contributing to the [company] organization, at a high level and today's tip centers around speaking up. Now, you would think that, oh, we're leaders, everyone knows that we have a seat at the table and to speak up. But I want to encourage you that those thoughts that you have the ideas, the challenges that you're looking at, in the solutions that you're thinking of have to be Express. Now, more than ever.

This is not the time to second-guess yourself. This isn't the time for you to say. Should I say that or is it was important? Someone else would have already presented that. No, leaders?

Listen, to me. Clearly. I need you to step up to speak clearly. Yes. We are not at a physical table, these days.

We're on a zoom call or WebEx, but let your voice be known express. The thoughts that you have because in this time where businesses are navigating, In such challenging times, all thoughts are needed and it's that diversity of thought. That's really going to help your organization survive, this challenging time. So if you deal with impostor syndrome, I encourage you to check out the [company] dotco program on Executive presence. It's a really popular program where we walk, women leaders through how to overcome impostor syndrome and increase their presence to lead from their Genic Unapologetic authentic voice.

I'm really struggling with my team members. Whose productivity is taking right in front of my eyes. I can visibly see that? They're exhausted. What tips do you have sir?

First and foremost, it is so important that we share with our team members that we understand that. This is a really challenging time than, for all learning to navigate this quote-unquote, new normal in addition to I recommend that you start each meeting asking people how they are and it may seem like it's not getting the work done. But giving people the opportunity to express themselves, especially during this time can be the only moment of relief they have. And that can definitely result in increased productivity because now things aren't just kept inside, they're able to express their views. Secondly, check the pulse of your team members, one by one.

So, Some people may not feel comfortable on video. They may be introverts and they may have increased anxiety by constant Zoom meetings. So, allow your team. Some flexibility to have some meetings on video and some with the video off. So I hope this helps.

These two basic tips of checking in with the team. Having those one-on-ones and being flexible with the video options to help you lie during this during this time of Crisis and Chaos, making decisions swiftly and being able to To adjust and be agile with those decisions. Now, we are hearing from leaders all over the country who are making decisions that are very challenging. And just two months ago, couldn't have been imagine this scenario for a lot of people caught them off-guard. These current circumstances as you're making decisions as a leadership team.

It is important to move swiftly, to communicate with as much transparency as you can to lay out the plan. Lan, we didn't imagine ourselves being in this predicament. But if this continues, on this trajectory will end up here are their outline as much as you can to your team. Really keeps the rumors at Bay and this environment where people are feeling Stress and Anxiety as you're communicating with them, and gives them some type of comfort to know that they will at least hear from you if nothing else. So as you continue to move with your team to communicate through this crisis, make And swiftly.

Sometimes we're going to make the right decisions and sometimes we're going to look back and we're going to say I should have done this differently, but now isn't the time to be stuck and Analysis paralysis. You cannot wait months or weeks to make decisions in this environment. So use the best information that you have available lean on your full leadership, team to gather as much data, as you can, and move forward swiftly leading through chaos and not just managing the crisis. So here's a difference leaders who are successfully navigating this unprecedented Global pandemic that is impacting. Every area of Our Lives.

They are not reacting. They're not losing their cool and just throwing all of their hands in the air and freaking out the leaders who are successfully navigating, this difficult time. They are cool, calm and collected and they're communicating with Clarity and confidence. During this time, the way that they're able to do that is because they have built their resilience muscle. So, in my upcoming book winning season, the formula is risk resilience, and you'll get the reward that book helps you to break down step by step, how to be a leader, who reacts who responds rather than reacts in a crisis.

If you importance of Reinforcing your company values during this time. My name is Jacqueline Twillie. I'm president at [company]. Dot C. 0.

Now, during times of Crisis and Chaos. It is important that once you figure out what's going on that you begin to communicate with great clarity, your company values during the time when things are going well, people tend to be on their best behavior that Clearly in most cases and they're making great decisions in a time where stress is heightened. There's a lot of uncertainty and there is rapid change. People are really dealing with multiple things and some of the basic things need to be reinforced, which is why this is the perfect time when you're communicating, with your team and weekly updates, whether that is a video call, whether it's a video chat, the true using the values that your company.

He stands on the foundation that what your company was built that you're communicating that. So what this means is, you also want to live out those values when it comes to you. If you're going to have to furlough people or anything like that. If your company core values, honesty, communicate as much as you can. That, if we hit this point in our business, we're going to have to make some difficult decisions that may look like a two or three week.

Furlough. That's a short example. How you live out your values, you reinforce that and you show your team, your company that you're going to guide them through this and that you're standing on those values that you've always preached. This book that I just received is war myself. This book is by Alicia Keys.

It's just came out last week and I cannot wait to dig into the book. She would get an interview with Oprah on Oprah's. Podcast last week. And they kind of talked about the book. I pre-ordered the book because I follow Alicia Keys.

Let me give you all this size story. My um, my line sister will attest to this in college. I had this to Door red. Saturn Coop. You couldn't tell me nothing sunroof two doors.

Y'all the car. It was a piece of work, but it got me everywhere. I needed to go. But in that car, one thing that I would do consistently was play the day. Sorry, I'm Alicia Keys.

CD CD from front to back. I was one person who would listen to the whole CD and criteria. Every time she wrote me because I had a card courtesy. I didn't have a car at the time because we're in college. And when she would need to go somewhere, she would drag getting in the car because she knew we were going to listen to at least your keys.

So I follow Alicia Keys online. When she mentioned that she was releasing her book. I went ahead and And I pre-ordered it and it came in last week. But because I pre-ordered this before, all of this happened. I had a since my office, I had to go to the office to pick it up.

I'm going to start reading it today and I can't wait to dig in when she did her interview Alicia Keys with Oprah Winfrey last week. One of the things that she talked about was the process of writing this book and in the interview, I learned that Alicia Keys and Oprah are really good friends. You're like a sister mother type of relationship. Similar to the relationship that Oprah had with Maya Angelou, so I thought that was really interesting and it talks about I'm going to read the back of the book for y'all talks about Gathering the raw pieces of my experience and holding them up to the light, what it has been for, her is transformative in an exercise and Truth telling me, she spent so many years with holding parts of herself, sacrificing her spirit to make others feel comfortable.

Can Body, relate. Keeping your mouth shut being uncomfortable. So you can make somebody else feel comfortable. I can relate, she said she's done with dimming her light writing. This book has been about meeting herself and with all the wounds and vulnerabilities exactly as she is and then at last Having the courage to reveal her full face.

So Alicia Keys has also been the face of not wearing makeup. I can relate because I don't wear a lot of makeup. I don't own Foundation. I Can't tell you the first thing about putting on Foundation, but I do like some lipstick. And you can see, I'm starting to learn eyeshadow.

Anyway, that's his book. She talks about how her truth has set her free and I'm really excited to read this book. Alicia Keys did a version of the red table, talk with Jada Pinkett Smith a while ago, maybe a few months back. And that was a really powerful exercise in truth-telling as Alicia Keys shares, because she talked about how people think she's always. At the end she isn't.

And so she kind of walked through that on, Jada Pinkett-Smith show, which made me even more excited to read this book. Not only do I love her as a musical artist. She's sharing more of who she is and I'm going to be talking about this book. I let's see here. I want to see how long it is about 200 pages.

Okay. I should be done with this book on Friday. It's Monday. So what I'll do is this weekend, I'll get back on alive and And I will give you all my book review of War Myself by Alicia Keys. And this book is, I don't know if it's a memoir.

It says, it's a journey, can't wait to dive in. So, y'all comment below. Let me know if you want to hear the book recap of more Myself by Alicia Keys. And if you want to get an alert, when I do the book review of this, just go ahead and shoot me a email RDM and I'll make sure that I give you the When I go live with this book review, okay, it's Jacqueline Twillie talking about more Myself by Alicia Keys. Can't wait to review this book with y'all and until next time continue to emulate, excellence and eliminate excuses.

All about knowing what to stop. Now. We're in the midst of our series of leading through crisis and chaos. And one of the most important things to recall during this time is understanding what has to stop. It's not business as usual.

In our previous video. We discussed how to move from surviving and moving to a mode of thriving. So when you have an interruption in This is practices, and the norm is not Norm. You're forming a new normal. You have to clearly articulate to the team.

And so those people that you work with directly what things have stopped. So most of us know, we're all working virtually. None of us are going into an office right now. So we've stopped in person, meetings. In addition to that.

There are other things that have stopped clearly communicate that to your team. So that they understand the direction has changed. Changed and you may have to reiterate this several times. Now, A lot of parents are homeschooling in addition to working and so they're having to work a modified schedule. They're not able to work eight or 10 hour days currently because life has been totally disrupted.

So one of the things that you may want to encourage your team to do is to stop working the normal hours and to work a modified schedule, where they're still able to produce. A high level. So productivity is important to thriving and moving out of survival mode. So I have so many people who are hitting me up talking about the economic circumstances uncertainty with jobs, even in the corporate area, and I have other people who are thriving doing interviews, getting promoted raises excetera. So I just wanted to give y'all a few tips on job search and job strategy during this time.

So if you're just watching Watching this video. Please share it with someone, you know, specifically, if they're in the job, search Market because the tips that I'm going to give you today are just for people who are looking to make some moves in their career during this current time. So a lot of the tips that I'm going to be sharing with you come from my first best-selling book, navigating the career jungle, you can get this book on Amazon, the e-book is only four bucks. And so I want you to check this out because this is where the tips are coming from. And as you can see, I have this book marked up.

A couple of things that I want to share with you first. I'm Jacqueline Twillie for those of you who don't know. I am president at zero. Gap dotco best-selling author and the host of the power banking podcast. So when it comes to, my experience working in an environment when the economy is changing, there are a couple of things that you have to be aware of.

The first thing is that you have to know what you want. This is not the time to say, I want a new job. I don't know what that job is. I'll take anything. You have to be specific about the job that you want.

And in order for you to be specific about the job that you want. You have to be specific about the skills. You have. What are you good at? You might have some skills that come so easy to you that you think anybody can do this, but that's not the case.

People who have your skill set, they get paid. A certain amount. And if you want to get paid the top dollar for the work that you're doing, you have to be able to articulate the job skills that you have. So pull out that resume, pull out the LinkedIn profile and update that. Now once you get clear on that part, the next thing that you want to do is, don't start applying to jobs online.

Here's a secret that I don't typically share, because most people are resistant to doing that. It's easy to apply for jobs. People find some level of comfort in a Finds a job. Say, do I apply for a job but they know they're going to get rejection emails or no response at all. So here's what you do instead instead.

You would create a list of 10 people who you know are well connected. And I give you details inside of this book, navigating the career, jungle a guide for young professionals. Inside of the book, I walk you through this step by step, okay? Of who you need to contact the tens, people on your list and what to say when you communicate with them. So, you update your resume update, that LinkedIn profile and start sending it out to people telling them specifically what you want to do.

So if you are looking for a job during this time where the economy is doing, all of the things you need to have a strategy. And so I'm giving you the free advice today. The book is for buck. Check that out. If you need more specific guidance and assistance head over to my website.

com or hop into the power, banking Facebook group set up, a call with me and I'll get you into one of my programs that's going to transition you to where you want to be. Now, during the last recession. I was in the traditional Workforce, and I was just graduating college and I left that recession with a very well paying job. I came out of the recession with a very Nice savings, and I set myself up for success and you can do the same. Do not feel like this is a doom and gloom sentence because things are wacky.

You can have a plan to come out of this with courage, with confidence and Clarity. So, I received another comment and it said that the person is looking for some tips to recharge. So, I did a little research and I've also mixed in some of the things that I'm doing to help myself. Charge at the end of the day. So if you go back in the series and talk about recharging and the importance of that.

So here are some practical ways that you can recharge, find things that you really enjoy doing. But you haven't had time to do in the past are since the crisis has started. You just thought this is frivolous. I can't do it. So I've done some research and here are the things that I found online.

People are really getting into puzzles. Others are starting home gardens, whether it's an Indoor garden just herbs are tea leaves. Are something Outdoors. I've seen stories of people learning how to play guitar. Yes, teaching themselves via YouTube.

And personally, what I'm doing is I'm learning how to make kombucha. So I found a kit online. I ordered it. It's coming in the mail and I can't tell you how excited I am that. I've just been doing 20 minutes of research a day on kombucha.

So these small things that you can do whether it's Watching the TV show are watching a series on PBS. I have to admit, I just been changed. No passport required on PBS with Marcus Samuelsson, and I absolutely love that food show. So those are some practical things that you can start doing to unwind and recharge. And I know it's going to be different because everyone has a different home life, but I encourage you to start brainstorming start a group text with some of your friends and find out.

Hey, what are you doing to recharge and Maybe you can find some ideas that way. I'm negotiation expert that has led groups of people to strategize and to win a negotiations all over this world. And in the last two years. I have helped women, double their salaries. So what you're going to get tonight is you're going to get some manifestation techniques that I use manifestation techniques that are a lot of successful women used in to add on to that the powerful element that most people don't talk about is taking agency to negotiate. All right, so I have two best-selling books. Just to give you a little bit about My background. The first one is navigating the career jungle and the second one is don't leave money on the table. Now.

I know I don't like leaving money on the table. And if you are listening to this right now, I can't believe that you don't like leaving money on the table either. In addition to that. I love lattes. I love love tacos, and I'm an auntie.

So that's a little bit about my life if we're not connected. On LinkedIn. Go ahead and connect with me on LinkedIn. I love to hang out there and I also have an Instagram, all under my name, Jacqueline Twillie. Well, I want to dig right in tonight into these top 10 tips and at the end of these tops and tips will transition into the top five strategies that you need to take so that you can manifest and negotiate that the end of all of this.

I will give you an opportunity to Work with me one-on-one. And let me tell you what I'm about to give you is going to be a full blueprint. So get ready. I hope you have a notepad ready. If you don't have physical pen and paper, go ahead and open up a tab in your phone right now.

A new note, stabbed. Now, if you're multitasking right now, go ahead and stop girl, because when your multi tasking you're not paying attention, and what I'm about to give you tonight is some Great info, and I want you to be able to utilize it. Now. I've had hundreds if not thousands of women, go through my courses and I've had women who have seen massive success, many women that I've worked with have doubled their salaries and that's because they follow what I tell them. Step by step.

Now. I'm giving y'all even extra because we're talking about manifesting on top of negotiating tonight. So you got to take some notes and you got to take We're going to talk about action a lot. But in order for you to take notes, you have to eliminate as many distractions as possible. So if you're watching TV, you're playing some music.

If you're texting somebody right now, come back to me, come back. Let's hop in now, top ten mistakes that people make when they manifest and negotiate one top mistake. Number one, is they shrink to make other people feel comfortable? What happens is they start growing and people start noticing that they're changing? And so what they do is they go back into being a smaller version of themselves to make the people around them feel comfortable.

It can be a co-worker. It can be someone you casually have lunch with it can be someone close to you. Like a family member, a friend, a significant other, the number one state. Number one mistake. That women make when it comes to manifesting and negotiating, especially when they start getting some traction.

And as they shrink back, they shrink away from all of the goodness that they've been thinking about and working towards. Now. I want you to think for a moment. Do you know anyone who's ever done? That personally?

I just have to admit. I've been there. I've had people say, oh, you're changing. And I, for some reason thought that changing was a bad thing, and it wasn't until I heard this song by Solange it. A lyric in her song that says, they say I changed.

It would be a Pity if I stayed the same and I thought about that and I was like, yes, girl, that part it would be a Pity if I didn't change and if I stay the same because I want to continue as math to grow and be the highest and greatest version of myself. So I want you to think, do you know anyone who's ever shrunk and you don't have to write this down, but I want you to know that that's a mistake that people make. If you're like me, you can probably think of at least one person who has had to shrink back to make other people feel comfortable with their growth. Now. The next thing is worrying about being too much.

That's right. You're worried that people will say your this are your that that you think too highly of yourself that you're too full of yourself that I don't know. People might say your A bougie, any of the things that can make you seem like, you need to, again shrink back but it's not the fact that you're shrinking back the second mistake. The second mistake is you're worried about it. Okay, that's just as devastating as worrying about what people will say, people are going to say I'm being too much.

I'm being extra being this and that. And so that worried about what people will say, will paralyze you from taking any action. And if you Take it action. It will paralyze you in to sabotaging your own success and we don't want any of that. So.

The next thing mistake. Number three stunting, your own growth. So you'll start to trip yourself up because you start seeing success and you're like, oh, I'm not ready yet. I wanted to have this done. I wanted to have that and as women, one of the things that I've seen, really hinder women from manifesting and negotiating in a really powerful way, is feeling like we have to have a checklist of things.

I need to do this and then I need to do that and then I need to do this that and the other. And so this whole list of things they spiral out of control. And you know, what happens at that point. It becomes a point where you give away your power. You give away your ability to make decisions for yourself and to live the life that you may have always wanted to dream.

Because at this point you just want to have Buddy be comfortable, including yourself. You don't want to get outside of your comfort zone. And so we're going to talk about growing through it. But if you can identify with stunting your growth, pulling back shrinking, wanting to stay comfortable, not wanting to press yourself, are to cancel that vacation or to cancel this or that, and it gets you in this very awkward mode. So if you can identify two steps in your growth, hold on.

Because when I The top five tips that powerful and successful women use to manifest and negotiate. You're going to want to know these tips. Now, number 4. Thinking positive thoughts without taking action. Some of you on the manifestation path.

You may be really focused on your thoughts and you think good things and then something happens in my throw you off and you think good things but you're not taking action. This isn't about sitting in a bathtub burning sage and thinking about all great things. It's about thinking about those great things coming up with a plan. And then working that plan. Now, a goal without a plan is just a dream and I love to dream.

But equally I love to take action. And for those of you who have great dreams, you've been thinking positive thoughts, but you're not getting as much traction as you want. I want you to be honest with yourself. Are you taking action because that's a top-five mistake. It's very common that women will begin to get in this mode where it's all about.

The thoughts and not about the action moving onto mistakes. Number 6. They let imposter syndrome take control. So people who have problems, not people, women who have problems manifesting and negotiating. They light imposter syndrome.

Get in like, who am I to do this? Who am I to start this podcast? Who am I to put my name in the Hat for this promotion? Who am I to volunteer to be a chair person? Who am I to run for this community group Board of director?

Who am I fill in the blank? Now, let's be real. You and I both have said at some point, who am I to do this? And the antidote to impostor syndrome is self-efficacy. Now, I have a course that's called executive presence and I go into full detail of how to get over imposter syndrome.

And that imposter syndrome training is so great. It changes so many lives. But listen, if you're going to manifest and you're going to negotiate, you have got to deal with imposter syndrome head on. My Louisiana is coming out y'all because I'm starting to clap. Let me tell you a story.

I had a woman who had been put in her name, was in the Hat for a promotion. Her supervisor says she was the perfect person for Someone in another department had said she was the perfect person for it and she secretly wanted this promotion, but she was afraid, she was afraid. What if I don't know enough. What if I don't have enough skills. What if I don't have this other certification, it was always a, what if I don't have or what?

If I can't. So she started letting these thoughts get in her. Meanwhile, people are raving, and they're saying, we got to get her to apply for this role. She's the perfect person because she can do the work, and we need somebody with her skill set. So they finally approached her independently, her supervisor, and the person in the other department and they said, hey, are you interested in this role?

Because I will go to bat for you. And guess what? This is something that she secretly wanted. She had in publicly expressed, but she started to tell them what, I don't think, I'm ready because I don't have the certification but you know, I'm going to get that certification next year. So maybe next year and all of these excuses came up.

Imposter syndrome showed up big time. And her supervisor noticed that her language was different from what she normally used in her body language was off as well. And she just said, you know, are you okay? It seems like you're off and that question, are you? Okay?

As soon as like you're off it was like a crack the shell in her and she had just taken the executive presence training and she recognized what she was doing. She recognized that she was sabotaging her own success. And she told her supervisor. You know, what? But I do want that and I know I gotta brush up on some things, but I know I can do that job and I can do it.

Well, well, long story short. She is in the final stages of going through the process to secure that roll right now and that just goes to the Testament that you got to have all the tools in your toolbox so that you can manifest and negotiate. Now when I say that she's in the final stages, they offered it to her and when they offered it to her they thought she would take it right out of the gate. You know, she has me in her back pocket as her executive coach and I am not letting her go down like that without getting the best package ever. Okay.

For this role. So right now she's in the final stages of negotiating. A really awesome deal. But let me get back to where we were talking about because we're talking about the top ten mistakes right now. So let's move onto from impostor syndrome.

To number six, which is teaching and telling others before. For you, take an action. So what do I mean by that? You probably have a friend because I have plenty of them. Who learn something new.

They read a book. They go to a conference to attend a webinar, something happens. And then all of a sudden, they begin to say things. Like, let me teach you how to do this, but they haven't done the work. They just heard something that really got them inspired and fired up and they feel empowered in the moment and they just start rambling and telling people you need to do this and you need to do that.

But why? They're busy evangelizing and pumping everybody up. They're not taking action. So they're teaching and telling people what to do without doing the work themselves. And that's mistake.

Number six, mistake number 7, skipping the part where you advocate for yourself. So, you know, that story I told you about a few moments ago, if that woman that I'm working with, if she didn't have a supervisor who knew her well enough to say, Hey, you seem a little It off, what's up? She would not have put her own name in the Hat. But this is something. She said, she wanted something she wanted to manifest and she would not have advocated for herself.

And so I want you to think about this. Are you a person who will not advocate for the things that you say, you want to manifest those things? You've been dreaming of the things you want really badly. Are you willing to go to bat for yourself? Are you willing to talk yourself up to sing, your praises and for lack of a better term to your own horn.

You don't have to answer me right now, but I want you to think about that. Number eight. Let's talk about vision boards because I love vision boards and the women who are the closest to me, know that I've hosted some really amazing vision board parties that last for hours that are filled with champagne and fried chicken and baked macaroni and fancy chocolates and cheesecakes. Yes, that's my type of vision board party, a little music going on a lip playlist, all of that, as a matter. Fact, remind me at the end of this to tell y'all about the Manifest and negotiate playlist.

Okay. So let's talk about vision boards. A lot of people they see vision boards and maybe they'd seen the movie The Secret and they think I just need to get some pretty pictures and put them on a board and wha-la things happen. Well, there's a few steps missing from that when you create a vision board, one of the things that you have to do is You also have to know why you're put why you're putting images up there? Because the images is a visual representation of what you internally want and what you are willing to work towards.

So if you just flip through a magazine, cut out a couple of cute pics through them on a vision board, it kept it moving. Then there's a couple of steps that you've missed and that's why it's a mistake that that women make when it comes to manifesting in negotiating because they do the vision board, but they don't do. The pre-work are the The walk work that goes along with it. Now, number 9. Something happens, they get you close to what you want that dream, that go that vision and you get freaked out and you say, you know what?

I'm good. I'm going to stay right here. Girl. Let me tell you, how many women have not written that book who have not gone up for that promotion. Who have not applied for that job at a different company at their dream company because they start getting the traction, they may get the certification.

That they want. They may have the idea. They may write an outline for the book. They made. Write a proposal to pitch a podcast for their company and then they free themselves out, and they stopped themselves right in the track common mistake that women make when it comes to manifesting and negotiating.

So number 10 is out of this list. I don't know how to be successful. And believe it or not, some people get. So in the routine of surviving that they don't know how to thrive. And if you're not learning the routines and techniques and best practices in the lifestyle practices of what you envision for yourself.

So you don't know if let's say, let me take a step back because I'm getting excited about this one. About not people saying, I don't know how to be successful if you are. Phoenician of successful is for you to cook one meal a week at home, but you don't have any pots and pans at home. Guess what? I mean, it's going to be pretty.

Dang, going hard to get there. You don't know how to cook, but you're not taking any steps to learn how to cook like, or maybe you know how to cook, but you don't have pots and pans. You don't have salt and pepper. It could be something as basic as that. So you have to take the action, which is why I get fired up about number 10.

Because now I get to tell you the top five, things that successful and Powerful women do when they 8, when they manifest and then negotiate so. I'm going to share with you all in the bonus. Lo and Tracee Ellis Ross used to meditate on to manifest the things that they want to wildly successful women and they have a manifestation practice in their lives. And I'm going to share with you some of their affirmation. So wait until the end.

All right. The top five moves that successful women make, when they manifest and negotiate number one, they go through a mindset shift. If you notice the top ten mistakes, they have a common theme. All starts with that person, that woman you and I ourselves. Okay.

So in order to make a mindset shift, what successful women do is they pep talks themselves, right? They get out of the mirror and get out of the shower. They look in the mirror and they don't say, oh gosh, you know, that my arm is a little flabby or my thumb is too big or whatever. Weird stuff. We say.

About our bodies, not successful women go. Mindset shift at such a deep level that when they get out of the shower. They're like, oh girl. You look good. Are they find something that they like about themselves?

That's one of the things that they do. Another thing that they begin to do is they begin to get in the habit of noticing what they're thinking about, you know, you can just be sitting Let's say on a couch and you think about one thing and the next thing, you know, you've had a whole conversation with yourself a whole train of thoughts that it takes you completely left field and you're like, what the heck am I thinking about? Sometimes it can even change your mood, you can think about something. Let's say, maybe someone turn their shoulder, they moved away from you to quickly. Are you text someone, two hours ago and they haven't text you back and you start making up stories about oh, she doesn't like me or Boss, didn't respond to this email.

I shouldn't have asked for the raise or anything like that. Those thoughts that's thoughts that do not serve you. I was going to say something else. Let me just say it. Those are garbage.

Thoughts, straight up garbage, thoughts. I read this book. Five years ago, is called Power Thoughts. By Joyce Meyers. One of the books that transformed my life hands down because Joy says there's this thing that she calls stinkin Thinkin where we just think crazy things and we go on these tangents of thought about things that don't serve us at.

Help us get to what we want. So if you're going to manifest and if you're going to negotiate, you are going to have to begin to notice what you're thinking and interrupt those thoughts. Now. Let me give you a powerful manifestation technique to meant to interrupt your thought. If you notice and I got this for my friend, Gigi, who is all things phenomenal.

She shared this at a happy hour one day that if you go off on this tangent of thoughts, that's not serving you. You just look out the window and say, hmm, that tree has some beautiful leaves our disguise, really pretty today. Are, you know, it's raining but I actually like, the sound of rain, find something to be present in the moment, Oprah on an interview that she did with Eckhart Tolle, a said that you can enter up your thought if you're washing your hands. I just saying right now I'm washing my hands. That's one way to be present and to be in the moment.

Isn't that really powerful so strong? Making mindset shifts. It starts with giving yourself, pep talks as simple as when you get out the shower. Look at yourself and find one thing that you like at least one thing. And if you find more than that, but I'm listening like, girl.

You look good today. Okay? Notice what you're thinking about. If you go off on those tangents, just notice and bring yourself back to the moment. By looking out the window.

Look out. The tree if you're washing your hands just say right now. I'm washing my hands. The water feels good. It's cool.

It's warm, whatever it is. All right. And I want you to also in the mindset shift piece to identify that friend, that always has some drama, right? We all have a friend like that identified that friend, that's always going through something that always has some form of drama in their life. And I want you to think about how you can tell before they get into their story, that is going to be another drama story.

It's something about the way we notice another's. A flaw that maybe someone else has that. We can't see in ourselves. And if you begin to think about that friend, who always has drama and then to think about yourself mundane, like, if I'm being honest with myself, do I share any of those characteristics? You might shine a light on something that can help you transform your mind, but this is also something I want you to think about.

You. Just thought about that friend. I don't want you to judge. That friend because their friend is where they are in their journey and you are where you are in your journey. And in order for us to grow and progress, we have to have some aha moments, which means we have to go through certain things.

So don't judge your friend if they're going through a lot of drama or if they have been going through a lot of drama for years. I want you to just recognize if you are mirroring any of those characteristics and if you are mirroring any of those characteristics, What can you do to start making some shifts? What's the tiniest thing you can do today to start giving you a catapult and moving you and your next Direction. Now, the second move out of these 5 powerful tips that successful women, use to manifest and negotiate is surrounding themselves. With positive.

People. Oprah says, you should surround yourself with people to that push. You too. The highest and greatest version of yourself. And Jim Rohn says, you are the sum of The Five People.

You spend the most time with. So if you think about the people, you're spending a lot of time with if they are manifesting and negotiating, you're more likely to find courage to manifest and negotiate but on the flip side, if your top five people that you're spending the most time with, if they're exhibiting, the behaviors that are in that. Top 10 list of mistakes that women make when they manifest in negotiate, it's more likely that you're going to get drawn into making those mistakes as well, birds of a feather flock together. All right, so don't try to if you identify. Oh, my group of people, they are not moving in, the direction of the 5 powerful tips.

There more in the mistake Zone. Don't start texting people and saying, hey, I got to cut you off because you're not what I want. No, no, that's not how we do things. That's not how I would suggest to do it. What I suggest that you do.

Is I want you to just start identifying people. You can spend more time with and naturally just start to spend more time with them. It's that simple now. Number three, your goals. You've got to write down your goals.

I said this earlier a Plan with a dream without I'm getting tongue-tied. So let me slow down because I get excited about this. You've got to write your goals down and be specific. If you want to see any progress. If you don't know, don't know what direction you're moving towards your just going to be spinning your wheels.

You're not going to see a lot of progress. You're going to feel like you're doing a lot of stuff but not really getting anything done. So when it comes to writing, Your goals your workbook that you get today. It's going to help you list those goals and then break down exactly what you need to do to move forward. Find a way to get clear on your goals.

Use a Smart acronym. I did a training that's in the [company]. Advantage Program about goal setting you want to snag that training because that training is one way that helps you to identify how to set goals and Inside of that. I share my secret sauce. My calendar tip about really getting serious about making some waves and really taking action to get your biggest and wildest goals accomplished and making traction towards them on a consistent basis.

Now number for taking inspired action. Once you write your goals down and my goal setting training. I teach you how to break it down. So for example, if your goal is to and I'm just going to go back to cooking that example if your goal is to learn how to make chicken alfredo pasta, but you're going to make your alfredo sauce from scratch. Then that could be your goal to make it from scratch.

But you're going to have to buy the ingredients. You're going to have to watch some videos or read some recipes or talk to people or take a class. You're going to have to do something else buying ingredients. And learning the recipe to things and you might have to take some additional steps. So what happens is you want to write down break down those goals into micro goals.

And then from there. That's how you begin to take action. Now, what you want to do. Also, when you write your goals is review your goals everyday, if it's out of sight is out of mind, you're not focused on it. You're not going to get it done because life will happen.

I mean, I don't know about you but I have set goals around the new year and come June, July. I'm like, who I don't even remember what those goals are. That's what happens when we don't review our goals daily. But if you put your goals in your face, whether it's a screaming, timer that pops up on your phone every day. m.

m. Something where you're constantly thinking about those goals, then you will be able to take inspired action because Going to be top of mind. So when you have the opportunity to do something that's not an alignment with the goals that goes going to be at the top of your mind and you're going to say I you know what, not today not right now. So just pay attention to your goals, but you're inspired actions. And in order for you to really unlock step three and four of these powerful moves that successful women take to manifest and negotiate.

You got it, right. It your goals down you have to. There's nothing nowhere around that. You can't keep them in your head. You gotta write them down and then you have to write down the steps that you need to take in order to make it happen and you have to review it daily.

And for most of us, we're going to have to review it multiple times a day. So this is what's called moving in the direction of the things that you want. So if your goal is to be a project manager at your dream company, you're going to have to join professional associations. That project managers are a part of you're going to have to start networking with people who know people at your dream company, you're going to have to start mixing and mingling taking inspired Action. Moving in the direction of those things that you really want.

Even if you're afraid, okay, which brings me to step number five and this is where negotiation comes into play and I think the biggest negotiation that you're ever going to do when it comes to manifesting and negotiating is negotiating with yourself. Negotiating with yourself over your fear. I read a book a few years back called the secrets of six-figure women and one of my favorite lines in the book. The author of that book secrets of six-figure women. Her name is Barbara.

Best, Annie Stanny, sta. Nny. What she says is you've got to feel the fear and do it anyway, and that's what I want y'all to do. I want you to feel the fear and do it. Anyway, so, you know what your goal is, you know, what action steps you need to take, you know, you have to take those action steps to move in the direction of achieving those goals.

So then you have to face your fears, you have to do. Afraid sometimes. But this is where it goes back to step. Number two. Move number two in these powerful tips, its surrounding yourself with five people who share your values who also want to accomplish and achieve a lot.

Because when you do that, what then happens is, when you get a little afraid, you've heard stories of how Dave have resilience, and how they've overcome. And so they've moved in that direction which gives you some confidence to feel your fear. And do it anyway, so the next part of this, I'm going to Deep dive into negotiating but I told y'all to remind me about the Manifest and negotiate playlist. So there's a manifest and negotiate playlist that's inside of the winning season, Facebook group. And that is the list that I personally use when I have to do some manifestation in negotiation work.
